Who we are
Francie Miller, MS is an Idaho native whose lifelong dedication to mental health and holistic healing has impacted countless individuals and communities. With a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Kentucky and a Master’s in Mental Health Counseling from Walden University, Francie has combined traditional mental health practices with innovative therapeutic approaches throughout her career.
Her early work involved training crisis counselors for a Kentucky rape crisis center, where she equipped professionals with the skills to support survivors of trauma. She also served in community and private psychiatric hospitals, helping individuals navigate complex mental health challenges with compassion and expertise.
In 1999, Francie took a bold step toward expanding mental health services by founding High Road Human Services in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. As the leader of this private community mental health organization, she provided crucial support and therapy to individuals and families in need, furthering her mission of accessible and effective mental health care.
During the 1990s, Francie, alongside a firefighter colleague, embarked on a transformative journey across Idaho, delivering crisis intervention training to county and volunteer EMS and fire personnel. Their work strengthened emergency responders’ ability to handle workplace trauma, leaving a lasting impact on the state’s crisis response systems.
Francie’s dedication to integrative healing extends beyond traditional mental health counseling. In 2007 and 2008, she pursued shamanic training under the guidance of a Hopi Elder, deepening her understanding of spiritual and energy healing. Complementing this, she later obtained a Forest Therapy Practitioner Certification, integrating nature-based therapeutic practices into her work.
Building upon her extensive expertise, Francie is now launching the Wild Women Soul Retreat program—a transformative experience that blends nature therapy, stress relief, and personal development. Through this initiative, she continues her legacy of empowering individuals to heal, grow, and reconnect with themselves through integrative and holistic wellness practices.
